Boomtick are excited to announce two big acts have been added to the BREAKFEST lineup – ADAM F and OPIUO.
Adam F is an icon with a kick-ass career which includes winning a Music of Black Origin (MOBO) award for his debut album ‘Colours’, waaaay back in 1998. That album delivered 7 Top 40 hits – most notably was the gamechanging ‘Circles’. His Gold and Platinum producer status earning him 9 Gold and 6 Platinum discs and awards. As co-founder alongside DJ Fresh of Breakbeat Kaos records imprint Adam was signing early releases and developing artists such as Pendulum (Hold Your Colour), Nero, Sigma and Chase & Status. He also garnered high praise in working with LL Cool J, producing his 2000 album, ‘The G.O.A.T’ – that in turn led to work with Missy Elliott, De La Soul and Redman. And David Bowie. And the Pert Shop Boys. Then there’s his epic work scoring Movie soundtracks (see Ali G Indahouse) and a full orchestral score for the WWF Wrestling leagues; plus NME’s crown of ‘#1 UK Hip Hop Producer’…there is no question Adam F is one of the most talented true musicians of his generation.
Want more funk in your life? Of course you do – so here’s OPIUO. A Kiwi now nesting in Melbourne, his warm, syrupy bass sauce is the perfect complement to what we’ve got cooking at Breakfest this year and we’re lucky to have him after yet another series of killer shows across the US. Stand up, shake down, and get ready for a right ol’ stomp with OPIUO.
