 If this year’s monster Parklife line-up wasn’t huge enough already, two more block rocking artists have just been added to the Perth roster.
First up – triple j Unearthed winners, Russian Winters.
This local punk funk 5-piece was selected on the strength of their single ‘Pacific’ (free download here), which takes inspiration from LCD Soundsystem and The Strokes, bringing those ingredients together with an Australian flavour. Their debut album ‘Last Battles’ will be released on 23 September , giving you two full days to lap it up before experiencing it first-hand at Parklife Perth!
Two of the true powerhouses of the Perth dance scene, Junior and Angry Buda, round out the acts for Parklife Perth.
Fresh off his win at the inaugural Red Bull Thre3Style DJ Comp at Villa, Junior is in freakin’ exciting form. Skilled like a mofo, he will blow your socks off with a genre hopping technically masterful set. Angry Buda is the go-to guy for party and hip hop tunes on the very best of Perth’s club rockin’ craziness and massive festivals such as Parklife, Breakfest, Big Day Out and support slots for Ice Cube, DJ Craze, Mixmaster Mike, DJ Yoda, Rahzel, MC Supernatural and more.
Parklife Perth simply wouldn’t be complete without them.
