Early Close and Lockouts for Nightclubs

|
If you have been following the news lately you may be aware that the police and Liquor Licensing have been on a mission to reduce alcohol related violence in Northbridge.
Using Section 64 on the Liquor Control Act the Director of Liquor Licensing has moved that nightclub conditions will be changed as of December 7, the changes being on trial until 25 April 2010.
How does this affect you?
- Nightclubs’ will now have to shut at 5am on Friday and Saturday nights
- There will be a 4am lockout
- Restrictions on liquor sales
- Between 4am and 5am maximum 4 drinks per person
- Between 1am and 5am no shooters and jugs/pints of spirits
Please be aware of these conditions if you are planning a night out - they are the Law and we have to comply, lest we face worse conditions.
The WA Nightclub Association is appealing the decision, and is fighting for our rights.
