Lee Coombs & Myagi now at Ambar Niteclub !

Due to circumstances beyond the control of the Promoter, Lee Coombs and Myagi will now be performing at Ambar Niteclub. Ambar has and always will be the Home of the Underground, and where better to host one of the pioneers of the Breakbeat scene?

Lee Coombs & Myagi

Rerouting and redrawing the standard of dance floor bombs - where would the Breakbeat scene be today without Lee Coombs? For over a decade Lee Coombs has been at the forefront of it all; his releases on Finger Lickin’ made people sit up and take notice and his 2004 album release ‘Breakfast of Champions’ injected elements of House, Electro and Techno into Breakbeat. It was a style Coombs would make his own, alongside fellow innovators Meat Katie, Elite Force and Dylan Rhymes.

Lee Coombs’ latest proffering, ‘Light & Dark’ (Lot49) carries the raw essence and edginess of 1991’s burgeoning music scene - grimy old school analogue sounds are fused with bold tech drum progressions and the BIG techy sounds Lee is known for. His innovative use of vocal cuts and innate ability to infect all his music with that little touch of dirty sonic mayhem make for a mind-blowing album and a live show which takes it even further.

Globe-trotting, genre-hopping Canadian Myagi has been responsible for works which have been dubbed "an uplifting electronic masterpiece", and for remixing the Orbital, The Crystal Method, The Dub Pistols and Thievery Corporation to critical acclaim. His original material has hit number one on Beatport, while his mashups and mix sets have pleased thousands of internet music freaks the world over. With a sound set to complement Coombs, the tech-funk pioneer himself, Myagi is definitely one not too miss!
