 A broken beat, chunky bassline and a whole lot of booty-shaking funk is what makes Mono Lisa smile.
Combining smooth mixes and beats with attitude, Lisa stays true to the breakbeat sound that moves her. She has been a regular player at Perth breaks events since late 2005 and is known for delivering her sets with energetic enthusiasm. As one half of the recently launched Force Majeure night at Ambar, Lisa is dedicated to the harder sounds in breaks, tech and house.
As a resident at Ambar's long-running night 'Japan 4', Lisa most often closes proceedings to a packed dancefloor. Supporting international artists such as Rennie Pilgrem, Hyper, Superstyle Deluxe, Alex Metric, Baobinga & ID, Janette Slack and Skool of Thought and performing along side fellow Force Majeure crew member Philly at Major Break 5 and Breakfest 2008, has seen her achieve the Best Female DJ award in the Perth Dance Music Awards for 2007, 2008 and 2009.
Mono Lisa's obvious passion for the music that she plays ensures that her sets are always up-front, entertaining and purely broken.
