As Perth’s premier breakbeat DJ, Micah likes to let the music do the talking. His endless amount of energy behind the decks is renowned within the Perth dance music community, and is beginning to boom worldwide.
Micah’s myriad of awards, including Best Breaks DJ in the Perth Dance Music Awards (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 (by a huge 47% of the overall votes), 2008 and again in 2009), ranking #1 in WA and #17 nationwide in the INTHEMIX Top 50 DJ Poll 2009 and winner of the 2004 Heineken DJ competition in WA illustrate exactly why he is Perth’s favourite dance floor king.


There’s no doubt he’s worked hard to establish his top spot; Micah was the driving force behind the ‘In the Pines’ dance parties from 1997 to 2000, which attracted more than 2000 punters, developing into such a phenomenon authorities decided people were having too much fun and shut it down. Micah then moved into clubland becoming part of the ‘awarehouse’ crew, before organising and playing at the popular ‘autophon’ nights for two years at Ambar – kicking off his long-running relationship with the club.

Micah can be seen most weekends at Ambar as part of Japan 4 and the Break-A-Holics Anonymous (BAA) crew, as well as a staple in the line-up at most Boomtick events.
