Marty McFly

Marty McFly first hit the decks in 2001 while living in his hometown of Campbelltown, Sydney.

He bought his first pair of turntables, developed his funk and broken beat edge on hip hop records (inspired from the masters themselves on DMC videos) and began to build a style he is known and loved for. He then made the smartest move of all: to Perth.

In 2004 he burst onto the scene after winning the inaugural ‘Punters Choice’ competition for up-and-coming DJs at Ambar.

His popularity pushed the kid in the cap in to a regular spot at Ambar, cementing his reputation. Marty is known in the scene as one of the cleanest cutters and scratchers around; just ask Jurassic 5 and Rahzel, who he played in-between on the Good Vibrations festival lineup.

Marty oozes the two big e’s; excellence and energy through every set he plays. Marty can also be seen most weekends as part of Japan 4 and the Break-A-Holics Anonymous (BAA) crew; not to mention Boomtick’s Parklife, Breakfest and the innovative Tonight Only shows.
