From the bass soaked depths of Perth’s underground, in a time of wonder and mayhem, a broken beat addiction was born...

In 1999 rocking parties and ramming dance floors, Blend aka Mikee K first burst onto the scene as a part of the ROLLER Crew with a fist full of wax.

Since then he's been immersed in, and devoted to, the Perth dance music scene. On top of his skills in a DJ console, he DJs at and co-hosts events such as the Perth Dance Music Awards (PDMAs), Roller Idol, the Rock Paper Scissors State Finals (RPS) and now a proud member of the Boomtick family.

Musically, Blend cut his teeth in the jump up Drum and Bass sound andwas strongly influenced by whoomping Hip Hop and heaving Breakbeat. He brings an energetic, unique and positive perspective to the party, weather its disintegrating dance floors or warming a welcoming room.

Don't be fooled by his boyish charm! His music makes pints of beer rattle off bars and provoke dance moves not even invented yet...
