How the changes in Liquor Licensing will affect Ambar

You may have heard that the Director of Liquor Licensing has issued changes in Perth nightclubs’ license conditions, taking effect this weekend (11 and 12 December) until 25 April next year on a trial basis.

The WA Nightclub Association, along with several nightclubs like Ambar are challenging the decision, you can support them here.

How does this affect you?

  • Ambar will now have to close at 5am on Friday and Saturday nights
  • There will be a 4am lockout – this means if you go out for fresh air, to smoke or to get your friend into a taxi you WILL NOT be let back in. Unfortunately this is the law! Ambar & Boomtick are in the process of challenging this and hopefully a better alternative will be available very soon.
  • Restrictions on liquor sales
    • Between 4am and 5am maximum 4 drinks per person
    • Between 1am and 5am no shooters

Please be aware of these conditions if you are planning a night out - they are the Law and we have to comply.

Show your support by joining the WA Nightclub Association on Facebook and following them on Twitter.
