 Klean Kicks
Armed with only his parents’ old turntable and a dodgy second hand mixer, Klean Kicks began teaching himself the art of DJing by watching YouTube tutorials (bless the internet!). After cutting his teeth at small bars in Perth, he holds residency at The Manor on Friday nights and Llama Bar on Thursday nights; and plays the odd gig at Geisha, Double Lucky and Metro City (supporting Xzibit last December). He thoroughly impressed the judges in the Red Bull Thre3style comp, showing his love for all genres of music and his ability to mash ‘em up!
eSQue
A familiar face in the club scene, eSQue started DJing at a young age in Mandurah, scoring a residency at The Brighton Hotel. This has led to several gigs around Perth supporting the strong array of locals as well as the likes of Nick Thayer, B-Rich and Butter Party. Pushing a solid tech sound, eSQue doesn't shy away from any genre with breaks, electro and even D'n'B featuring in his sets.
Informant
Informant smashed it so hard in May we had to have him back with some fresh new sounds. 20 year old Informant is the latest production young gun to emerge from Perth. He signed his first deal with Armada Music in the Netherlands (voted number one Global Record Label in the world in the 2011 IDMA awards) at the young age of 19. Since then, he’s released the monstrous Glowing Up EP on LessThan3, which reached number 1 on the Beatport dubstep charts. Not. Even. Kidding.
KeyMist
KeyMist is a French musician who started DJing as a duo in 2010. With a Guitarist background, the transition to electronic music became evident; being a Justice fan also helped him to discover that groovy French electro bass line. Late 2010 he participated to the strike3 production DJ comp @ bar open and made through the final. He did the Curtin university DJ comp finished 2nd behind Meet Mark. Playing from funky electro/house to minimal house, progressive, Tech, breaks, nu disco!
Laurence Elliot
Laurence has been playing for nearly a decade – a friend taught him the basics before he moved on to play using serato scratch. He started off playing House but soon moved into Breakbeat; playing a few gigs in Kalgoorlie and Esperance. Laurence has spent the last couple of years introducing Dubstep into his sets. Like an actor using ‘the method’ he likes to arrange a mix and perfect it; so expect a tight set from Laurence Elliot!
