Villa Nightclub
Doors open at 10pm
What’s the only thing that could make seeing AC Slater at Villa absolutely perfect?
Two words: guest list.
If you missed AC Slater at Villa in May last year, you missed out. Not to worry, we ‘re into second chances – and now’s the time to redeem yourself. And it’s on us.
Imagine a boy from West Virginia rummaging through his Dad’s music collection and laying down some sweet mixtapes on TDK D-c60s. Now fast-forward a decade and introduce technology and the internet.
When we give you AC Slater, you won’t be Saved by the Bell, you’ll be saved by the DJ.
Hightailing out of the innocence of rural America, Aaron Clevenger (AC Slater) did what all clever kids do and settled in New York (Brooklyn). He now commands the party crowds in underground dens in NYC (and Ambar in Perth), grimy warehouse raves of east London and club and festival circuits throughout the world. He lists the Parklife tour of 2010 as one of the favourite gigs in his career – there’s no doubt he keeps reloading to fire back at his ever-increasing audience. Behind every great AC there’s a crew, and in Slater’s case its Brooklyn’s Trouble and Bass party starters; who encouraged him to turn-it-up-to-11 on his writing, producing and performing skills.
AC Slater is guaranteed to blow the roof off any venue. His production and remix credits are endless and his touring scheduled is non-stop. He delivers straight up, hard hitting sets that leave no one disappointed. With more than just a nod to hip hop and rap, an AC Slater set will sheen you up with driving dance-floor beats and an ability to fuse the underground with the overground.
