Sylvester Martinez and Johnson Peterson are like two little Fonzies = cool. In fact, they’re Yolanda Be Cool. DCUP is the new kid on the nu disco scene with a one way ticket to the top!
Yolanda Be Cool’s original productions and remixes have received huge support from some of the scene’s biggest players, and they’re on overdrive in the studio to ensure every gig they perform is filled with their brand of party tech.
Massive remixes for Phonat, Tim Green, Killa Queenz and Kid Kenobi has put DCUP's tunes into the ears of music lovers around the world. Comparable to Treasure Fingers, Miami Horror and Shazam, his smooth nu disco combines keyboards, drum machines and the best of the 80s.
Yolanda Be Cool first hit the international scene with their first release, Afro Nuts. The track was picked up for release on Fabric 49, Wax On mixed by Fake Blood, Grant Smilie's Neon Essential Volume 2 and Mashed mixed by Miami Horror. Juxtaposition is a concept Yolanda Be Cool like to associate with, bow ties with Converse, Hip Hop and Techno, animal noises and nightclubs and their self described sound, Party Tech.
When Yolanda Be Cool and DCUP combined production powers, "We Speak No Americano" was born. This retro gypso disco dance track has been owning the airwaves since its release, riding high on the ARIA charts with big plays on MTV and Triple J. August 20 will be the first time the 2 will be appearing at Ambar for one unmissable show!
