Saturday 8 May 2010

Villa Nightclub

We love a man who knows less is more – a sound which begs quality from its producer. Bass Kleph is quite simply one of the best Australia has to offer and proof of that is his very recent #1 spot on Beatport. That’s #1 in the world, y’all.

Bass KlephBass Kleph is hot. In demand. The sound of now. With one foot planted firmly in the underground, his edgy take on jackin’ tech/electro and house has a pop sensibility everyone can connect with. Guys – relax; your lady is going to love going to this gig with you.

2009 threw commercial and club success Bass Kleph’s way – Spend My Money had him playing the international roulette wheel and Keyboard Cat jumped to #2 on the electro Beatport chart, followed by Organ Cat, which is one of his most popular tracks to date.

Then there’s his remixing work: the Stanton Warriors, Gotye, Sarah McLeod, Infusion, Amiel, Stupid Fresh, Savage, Mark Dynamix and more. He’s won a Breakspoll award for Best remix (2005), been nominated for an ARIA and one of his mixes was quoted as ‘tune of Miami WMC’.

Bass Kleph developed the record label Vacation Records – a label which has fast become one of the world's slickest dance labels. Their tracks have featured on ARIA nominated albums, topped charts all over the world and been laden with praise from Crookers, Rene Amesz, Kissy Sell Out, DJ Dan, Micky Slim, Way Out West, Ian Pooley, Crystal Method, Jason Nevins and many more. Vacation have licensed their music to a long list of high profile compilations including Ministry Of Sound, Sony, EMI and others all over the globe. Some of the artists they’ve released include Wolfgang Gartner, Micky Slim, Hook n Sling, Stupid Fresh, Twocker, Mowgli, Tommy Trash, fRew, Dopamine (as well as Bass Kleph, of course!).

Their first in a series of mix albums entitled “Wish You Were Here” was a schmick selection of their biggest tracks and some unreleased ones too, all mixed to perfection by Bass Kleph himself.

Bass Kleph = a star of now and superstar of the future. Catch him at Villa fresh from his appearance at the Miami Winter Music Conference.
