It’s that time again when Ambar celebrates it’s Birthday! A life time ago in 2001 a man with a dream for a nightclub that would play the beats he wanted to listen to and serve the drinks just how he liked them opened Ambar Niteclub. He might not come down anymore but the ethos has stayed the same… Ambar delivers the music YOU want to hear, when you want to hear it!
 Nine amazing years is quite a milestone for a nightclub in Perth, and Perth agrees that Ambar is the best, by voting it ‘Best Nightclub’ in the Perth Dance Music Awards since 2003. Come celebrate with us and our friends Splitloop!
Splitloop are Phil and Bren all the way from the UK, now represented by Bren bringing in the massive DJ sets that the Ambar crew know and love. Their 2008 album Pleasure Machine was ‘Album of the Month’ in DJ Mag and was a deviation from their usual style thus creating an album with a ‘velvety sheen’ touching on modern sexy D. Ramirez-type electro-house, juddery Justice riddims, old skool electro, bleepy Trickyesque bizness, speak ‘n’ spell robotica and a hell of a lot more. There’s a consistency to their sound that glazes the whole album – sexy electronic dance music that’ll be rocking floor from Brighton to Beijing. Accumulating all the tools to soundtrack a fantastic night out, the Splitloop boys have set the dials for pleasure.
September 2009 they released Ghetto UK / Side to Side - the first in a run of double A-sides set to drop early this year. The new release was given ‘Tune of the Month’ by Mixmag and received praise from all the scene stalwarts: "Bang on the money" - Plump DJs; "Really like this" - Meat Katie; “Really cool, solid breaks” - Krafty Kuts; and "Proper, loving it!" - General Midi.
With an ability to rock any club brave enough to let them near the sound system, Splitloop are back with a vengeance! Come celebrate our birthday with all your favourite Ambar DJs going back to back and the undeniable Splitloop!
This year again the infamous Loyalty Cards will be available for purchase between 10pm and midnight at Ambar. The Ambar Loyalty Card allows you to skip the line, get discounted entry on Saturday nights and some events as well other discounts in the club. Keep an eye on the website for more details!
