Trance has a new name, and it’s spelt tyDi.
As a 21 year-old DJ he was voted #1 in Australia, and subsequently he spent 2008 touring in support of dance heavyweights Tiesto, Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk. He was a regular on the Australian festival circuit and the wunderkid ended the year with a bang by co-headlining Melbourne’s Sensation NYE party with Fedde le Grand.

TyDi Poster As a producer, his tracks have been signed to labels across the globe, including world #1 DJ Armin van Buuren’s own label, Armada. tyDi has produced soundtracks for some of the hard-hitting government advertising, video games and luxury property developments.

Late in 2008, tyDi hit the studio to produce his debut release. Moving away from his traditional roots, he has teamed up with ARIA nominated producer Sameer Sengupta, whose work includes credits for artists such as Paul Mac, Sneaky Sound System and The Potbelleez.

In 2009, tyDi has already been off to an impressive start. On the back of a stellar performance at Melbourne’s Sensation NYE party, the young maverick has secured Main Stage billing at Trance Energy in Holland. In April, he released his debut artist album 'Look Closer' which made an impressive debut on the Australian Independent Recording Charts, ARIA Dance Charts and on the international Beatport charts. The first single ‘Foolish’ also found a home in the top ten of the international Beatport charts. With such a solid start to a promising career, Australia's #1 DJ is a man on the rise.
