After boasting that 2009 is going to be big for Dubstep in Perth we backup our claim with the king of the wobble step, the one and only RUSKO!
 Christopher Mercer, was born in Leeds in 1985 to a musical family. Graduating from Leeds University with a degree in musical performance he moved to London, hooked up with Caspa and the rest as you say is history.
Veering away from the darkside, Rusko brings a highly driven energy approach to the dubstep massive. Since doing that he has quickly turned the scene upside down!!! His huge hit “Cockney Thug” has been played by everyone from Pete Tong, Ntype, Switch, Diplo and Santogold. And has been remixed by Buraka Som sistema, Diplo, Drop the Lime and the Scratch Perverts.
At 23 Rusko is only in 1st gear, with collaborations on the table with the likes of Switch, Diplo, Yo Majesty and Wiley the future sure is looking bright. Remixing artists such as Adele, A-Trak featuring Kid Sister, Leon Jean-Marie and joining Caspa on the first ever dubstep fabric live and his essential mix from last month is oh my lord, well it’s a bangin 2 hours to say the least! Rusko is only going in one direction. Onwards, upwards and far beyond any producer could dream of. Rusko is like Dr Dre, Timbaland and Switch all rolled into one with a serious overdose of bass.
Smashing Ambar Thursday 5th Febuary, with support from LADY ERICA (uk/melb) Rekab, Taaffe vs Elliot and a special reunion set from the Enygma Generation Massive.
Get Friday off; this will be one party to remember!!!
